A partnership between
Leaders in the Financial Services Industry and Leaders at Duke

Duke supporters who are leaders in the financial services industry have come together under Duke Financial Partners—a network of alumni, parents and friends who understand the financial complexities of a university and are uniquely positioned to invest in Duke’s financial foundation. Financial Partners are affiliated with every undergraduate, graduate and professional school, and their investments—as leadership donors and as active volunteers—influence every corner of the campus.

Duke Financial Partners meet 2-3 times each year for professionally relevant programs and opportunities to connect with Duke-affiliated colleagues. Speakers and panelists comprise a mix of industry and university leaders presenting on topics that are timely and significant.

See our events listing page for information on upcoming events and details on past events.

Investing in Duke’s Future

Collectively, members of Duke Financial Partners have contributed more than $250 million to Duke over the last decade in support of scholarships, professorships, facilities and programs.

Many Financial Partners provide the university with both current funds (the Duke Annual Fund, Iron Dukes, restricted giving) and permanent support (endowment funding). Annual giving provides expendable resources to cover immediate needs, while endowment gifts are invested to provide Duke with a permanent source of funding. Each year, a portion of an endowment fund’s earnings is spent. The rest remains invested to ensure that the fund continues to grow and can weather changes in the market.
